WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Professional organizing experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and takes work commitments seriously
• Is punctual and manages time well
• Is naturally organized and detail-oriented
• Works efficiently and stays focused
• Takes initiative and can recognize what needs to be done next
• Takes direction well and is willing to follow established systems
• Has a strong work ethic
• Has a positive and professional attitude
• Communicates clearly and respectfully
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Is comfortable working in cluttered or disorganized environments
• Is patient, compassionate, and nonjudgmental
• Understands that every client's situation is different

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Professional organizing is a physically active job.

Applicants must be comfortable:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing stairs
• Moving throughout a client's home repeatedly during a project
• Lifting and carrying boxes and household items up to approximately 30–40 lbs.
• Packing, unpacking, sorting, and moving household belongings
• Working in garages, basements, storage areas, and other environments that may contain dust, pet hair, or clutter

TRANSPORTATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS
RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS REQUIRED

Team members must:

• Have a valid driver's license
• Have reliable personal transportation
• Be willing and able to travel to client projects within their assigned service area, up to 90 miles one way. Travel compensation is provided.

Some projects may require additional travel. Travel expectations will be communicated when projects are offered.

SCHEDULING & AVAILABILITY

Our business is client- and project-based, which means weekly hours will fluctuate.

Hours are not guaranteed.

We are looking for team members who can provide consistent availability so that we can confidently schedule client projects in advance.

When you commit to availability and accept a scheduled project, we expect you to honor that commitment. Reliability is extremely important because client projects are scheduled based on the number of organizers assigned.

Projects may include shorter organizing sessions as well as full-day or multi-day projects.

THIS POSITION IS A GOOD FIT IF:

• You genuinely enjoy organizing and creating order
• You like hands-on work and staying active
• You enjoy seeing a visible transformation at the end of a project
• You're comfortable walking into a messy space and figuring out where to begin
• You enjoy helping people during stressful or transitional periods
• You can balance efficiency with attention to detail
• You understand that organization should be functional—not just visually appealing
• You enjoy working with different people and in different environments
• You're looking for flexible, meaningful, project-based work
• You enjoy being part of a growing team

THIS POSITION MAY NOT BE A GOOD FIT IF:

• You require guaranteed weekly hours
• You need the same work schedule every week
• Your availability frequently changes after you've committed to dates
• You are uncomfortable working in cluttered homes
• You are uncomfortable with physical, hands-on work
• You are unable or unwilling to travel to client projects
• You have difficulty working as part of a team
• You are uncomfortable taking direction from a project lead
• You struggle with punctuality or reliability
• You are primarily looking for short-term experience to immediately establish a competing professional organizing business

WHAT MATTERS MOST TO US

We're not simply looking for someone who can make a pantry look pretty.

Our clients invite us into their homes during many different stages of life. Some are overwhelmed by everyday clutter. Others are preparing for a move, downsizing after decades in a home, helping an aging family member transition, preparing a property for sale, or simply trying to regain control of their space.

We expect every team member to approach our clients and their belongings with respect,
discretion, patience, professionalism, and absolutely no judgment.
Organization skills can be strengthened through training. Reliability, work ethic, compassion,
and professionalism are equally important to us.

HOW TO APPLY

Please provide the following:

• Your current résumé
• Your general weekly availability
• Your earliest available start date
• Confirmation that you have reliable transportation and are comfortable traveling to client projects
• A brief explanation of why you are interested in becoming a Professional Home Organizer
